Filming for “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” Season 5 is still not confirmed, and fans may have to wait longer than expected. Chase McWhorter, who is known from the popular reality show, recently shared an update that has left the future of the series unclear.
As per People reports, in a new episode of Harry Jowsey’s podcast “Boyfriend Material,” Chase opened up about the current situation. He revealed that filming has not restarted since production suddenly paused in March 2026. According to him, the show’s future is now “up in the air.”
Chase explained that he is hopeful filming will continue, but there is no confirmed date yet. He said that many cast members still have important stories and moments that have not been shown on screen. Because of this, he believes the show still has strong content for another season.
Production was originally stopped due to a serious situation involving cast member Taylor Frankie Paul and her former partner Dakota Mortensen. Reports of a domestic violence investigation led to the halt in filming, and since then, the crew has not returned to set.
While discussing the delay, Chase admitted he does not know if cameras will roll again. He said he is “hoping” the show comes back but also made it clear that nothing is guaranteed right now. This uncertainty has raised questions among fans who were expecting a quick return after Season 4.
Alongside the filming update, Chase also addressed recent rumors about his personal life. He confirmed that he and Jessi Draper only kissed at a party, and he said the situation was exaggerated online. He admitted his actions caused problems, especially with his ex-wife, Miranda McWhorter, and said he regrets it.
Despite the drama, the biggest concern for viewers remains the future of the show. With production paused and no clear timeline, Season 5 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is currently facing an uncertain path.
For now, fans will have to wait for official news to know if filming will restart or if the series will remain on hold.
