Filming for “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” Season 5 has suddenly stopped, and now Jessi Draper is clearing up one big rumor behind the pause.
The popular reality show, also known as SLOMW, reportedly halted production on March 16, 2026. Many fans quickly started guessing the reason, especially after reports of drama involving Taylor Frankie Paul.
According to a report by TMZ, filming hit an “unexpected pause” after a serious argument between Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex Dakota Mortensen. Soon after, a source told PEOPLE that the show is “not filming” right now because Taylor is dealing with “serious personal matters.”
As the news spread, rumors started growing online . Some claimed that the pause happened because of jealousy between Taylor Frankie Paul and the rest of the MomTok group.
However, Jessi Draper quickly stepped in to stop that idea.
Responding in a comment on social media, Jessi Draper clearly said, “It was never a jealousy thing lol.” Her short reply directly denied the rumor that jealousy caused the filming shutdown.
At the same time, more talk started online after a podcast claim added fuel to the situation. During a discussion on “No Filter with Zack Peter,” it was alleged that the rest of the MomTok group was upset with Taylor Frankie Paul for “stealing the spotlight,” especially after her rising fame and new opportunities like The Bachelorette Season 22.
Zack also suggested that the filming pause “could have been a jealousy thing.” However, Jessi Draper quickly shut down that idea in the comments section of his post. Replying directly, she wrote, “It was never a jealousy thing lol,” making it clear that jealousy was not the reason behind the production halt.
Even with that clarification, things behind the scenes still seem tense.
Another insider close to the production shared that many cast members are feeling overwhelmed. The source said the group has decided together to take a break and does not want to continue filming right now.
The insider also revealed that some cast members are feeling tired of the ongoing drama, especially involving Taylor Frankie Paul. While everything was reportedly going smoothly earlier, the situation changed quickly.
The source added that the group “banded together” and chose to pause filming as a unit. At this moment, they are not focused on returning to the show.
