Cillian Murphy is back with the new film “Peaky Blinders”

While premiering the new upcoming show on BBC, “This Town,” released on March 31, British screenwriter Steven Knight confirmed that Cillian Murphy will return in the forthcoming film for Peaky Blinders.

Steven Knight confirmed that the new Peaky Blinders film will begin shooting at his Digbeth Folk studios in September 2024.

Following the success of Oppenheimer, Cillian Murphy would play the lead role of Tommy Shelby in the film. It’s also in the rearview mirror; he has already set his sights on the next project.

On March 19, Knight told the Birmingham crowd on the red carpet last night that the Oscar winner would “definitely return to” be in the new film.

“He is returning for it. We’re shooting it in September just down the road in Digbeth.”

He also said that the new Peaky Blinders film is separate from the series set in the 1920s and focuses on the Shelby family during World War II.

He said, “Peaky—in this incarnation—comes to an end,” Knight said about series six. “But we’re doing a film that will also carry on the family and the stories into the Second World War.”

BBC has released the trailer of its upcoming show, “This Town,” created by Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders.

Stephen Graham, actor Liverpudlian, made his film debut in series 6; stars include Lady Diana Mitford and James Frecheville.

However, if the pace of the film is good, then the film will be released in 2025 or 2026.

The returning cast for the movie will likely include Anya Taylor-Joy as Paul Anderson.
Gina Grey, Stephen Graham.

In a recent interview with Esquire, he added: “The film, I know exactly what it’s about. And I know what two stories it’s going to tell.

I don’t know how the story will unfold. What will happen after that? I want that to depend on the film. For all we know, somebody is going to pop out—I think I know who it’s going to be.”
