Yaga is a 2026 supernatural horror series from Crave, which is streaming on AMC+ in the US. It is created and written by Kat Sandler, based on her 2019 stage play, and directed by David Frazee and Rachel Talalay. Reviews also credit Kay Shioma Metchie and Nadine Bhabha as writers, but we could not confirm that on an official page.
The main cast includes Carrie-Anne Moss, Noah Reid, Clark Backo and Hudson Williams, with Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore and Katharine Isabelle in supporting roles. The series was filmed in and around Victoria, British Columbia.
Rapp, a private investigator, arrives in the small coastal town of Whittock to find Henry Park, the missing heir to a powerful fishery. He ends up working with a local detective named Carson and crossing paths with Katherine, a university professor. The mystery leans on the old Slavic legend of Baba Yaga.
Yaga premiered on Friday, October 23, 2026, on AMC+ in the US and on Crave in Canada. According to AMC Global Media, it has eight half-hour episodes. Two episodes arrived on day one, and new ones are reported weekly, with a two-part finale on November 27.

📍Victoria, British Columbia

Victoria, on Vancouver Island, stands in for the fictional town of Whittock. The cast says the area had a “witchy vibe” in an interview with CTV News. The coastline, forests and old houses of Greater Victoria do most of the work for the show’s eerie look. Our Canada page lists other series shot across the country.
📍Kiwanis Tea Room, Willows Beach, Oak Bay
Address: 2740 Dalhousie St, Victoria, BC V8R 1M4, Canada

The Kiwanis Tea Room at Willows Beach in Oak Bay is the most recognisable location from the first trailer. A promotional image also shows Clark Backo standing in front of it. The first trailer highlighted familiar Greater Victoria locales, like the Kiwanis Tea Room at Willows Beach in Oak Bay. We could not confirm which scenes were shot there.
Visiting: Willows Beach is a public beach. Please check the tea room’s opening hours before you go.
📍Surf Motel, Dallas Road, Victoria
Address: 290 Dallas Rd, Victoria, BC V8V 1A6, Canada

A later trailer shows Noah Reid standing in front of the Surf Motel at 290 Dallas Road. It is a small oceanfront motel along Victoria’s waterfront road. We could not confirm which episodes it appears in.
Visiting: It is a working motel with guests, so please check before visiting and keep the noise down.
📍St. Michaels University School, Saanich
The same later trailer shows scenes at St. Michaels University School in Saanich. We could not confirm what the school stands in for or which scenes were shot there.
Visiting: Since it is an active school, please check before visiting and do not enter the school grounds.
📍Sidney, British Columbia
Sidney, a town on the Saanich Peninsula, also appears in the later trailer. We could not confirm the exact street or building, so please treat it as a town-level location only.
📍The Park Mansion, Victoria
The Park family home is a grand house, and Hollywood North Buzz says it was filmed in Victoria. A Globe and Mail visit to the set describes a rainy March morning at a stately house with a big lawn, where a scene from episode 5 was shot. We could not confirm the address, or whether these are the same house.
Visiting: Since it is most likely a private home, please do not visit it. Another supernatural series shot in the same province is Carrie, which was filmed in Vancouver.
📍Other Areas of Victoria
A location-tracking site reports crew sightings on Pemberton Street in the Fairfield neighbourhood in late February and early March, plus downtown near the Vancouver and Johnson Street areas and at the Market on Yates. These are sightings only, so we are not naming any exact scene. Please treat them as reported.
📍Queenswood Drive, Saanich

Apart from the places above, filming has also been linked to an oceanfront property on Queenswood Drive in Saanich, near Victoria. We could not confirm the exact house, the scenes shot there or whether the production officially named it, so please treat it as reported only. Reports also say the shoot covered other spots across Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island, but they do not name them. We will add them as soon as they are confirmed.
Yaga Behind the Scenes
To make your search for Yaga filming even more interesting, here is what the cast and crew have shared so far. At Comic-Con, Clark Backo said there were “so many coincidences” in Victoria, which locals say has its own creepy stories. Hudson Williams plays two characters, Henry and Logan, and the show says he is hard to tell apart in both.
Fun fact: Kat Sandler’s play first ran at Toronto’s Tarragon Theatre in 2019, and Noah Reid had been cast in the stage version before leaving to film Schitt’s Creek. If you like witchy shows, our guide to Mayfair Witches covers another AMC series, and The Body is a Canadian-shot horror series from Netflix.
We will add more cast and crew Instagram posts and set photos here as soon as they are shared.
