Alexandra Daddario’s Mayfair Witches Season 3 Finishes Filming as Showrunner Shares Exciting Update

Fans of Wildflower star Alexandra Daddario have a big reason to celebrate. The hit horror drama Mayfair Witches has officially wrapped filming for Season 3.

The update came directly from the show’s new showrunner, Thomas Schnauz. Sharing the news on X, he revealed that production has officially ended. He wrote that it was a “WRAP on Season 3 of Mayfair Witches.” He also shared that his son helped with the slate during filming, but joked that he is not allowed to watch the show. Schnauz praised the cast and crew, calling them “such a fun cast and amazing crew.” He also said he does not yet know when the new season will air on AMC, but promised more updates soon.

Mayfair Witches, which airs on AMC and AMC+, follows the story of Rowan Fielding, played by Alexandra Daddario. Rowan is a skilled neurosurgeon who learns that she is the heir to a powerful family of witches in New Orleans. As she discovers her dangerous psychic powers, she must face the evil spirit Lasher, played by Jack Huston.

Season 3 is expected to premiere in late 2026, although an official release date has not been announced yet.

The upcoming season will bring major changes. The story will move beyond New Orleans and explore the dark history of Salem, a place known for its infamous witch trials. According to Dan McDermott, President of Entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks, the Mayfair family’s drama will continue to grow in powerful ways. Speaking about the show’s return, he said the family’s story remains “intriguing and enchanting.” He also shared that expanding the series into Salem is an exciting new chapter for the larger Anne Rice Immortal Universe.

Several new actors are joining the cast for Season 3. Michiel Huisman, known for his role in Game of Thrones, will play a carpenter named Michael, who hides a dark secret. As his character grows close to Rowan, his mysterious past will slowly unfold.

Other new cast members include Betsy Brandt from Breaking Bad, James Frain from Gotham, and Eliza Scanlen from The Dope Girls. Many details about their roles are still being kept secret.

With filming now complete, excitement is building for what promises to be the darkest and most magical season yet. Fans will have to wait a little longer for an official premiere date, but one thing is clear — Mayfair Witches Season 3 is coming, and it is ready to cast its spell once again.
