Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer Explained: The Mandalorian is back with season 3. The third season of the American television series stars Pedro Pascal as the title character. Season 3 of the series is produced by Lucasfilm, Fairview Entertainment, and Golem Creations.
The Mandalorian season 3 trailer has been dropped by The official Star Wars YouTube channel and the trailer revealed Paz Vizsla under heavy fire in an attack from an unknown enemy.
The development of the third season of The Mandalorian began in late April 2020, and filming began in October 2021 and wrapped up in late March 2022.
The trailer shows the Mandalorian and its journeys through the Star Wars galaxy continue and Din Djarin a bounty hunter has reunited with Grogu. At the same time, the New Republic struggles with the galaxy to lead away from its dark history. In the series, Mandalorian will come across old allies and also make new enemies.

Update: ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ Hit Theaters in May 2026
Updated July 2026. After Season 3 wrapped up the New Republic storyline teased in this trailer, Jon Favreau shifted the franchise’s focus to a theatrical continuation. Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre on May 14, 2026, and opened wide in the U.S. on May 22, 2026, in IMAX, 3D, 4DX and other premium formats with an all-new story. A traditional Season 4 was put on hold in favor of the film; Favreau has said he still has Season 4 scripts “on his desk” and ideas for where the story could go next, though any return to the Disney+ series will likely depend on how the movie performs. The shelved Season 4 was reportedly written to feature Grand Admiral Thrawn and tie into the New Republic era introduced in Ahsoka.
