It was announced at the beginning of this year that The Mandalorian would be coming to the big screen, while recently, Disney confirmed that it will be the next Star Wars film to hit theaters.

Deadline recently shared that A filming detail about The Mandalorian & Grogu comes from the recent list of films that have been awarded tax incentives by the state of California.

California also awarded a tax credit of $21.8 million for the production of the next Star Wars film, The Mandalorian & Grogu. The tax given to this Star Wars film is one of the heaviest allocations California has ever given to a film.

While A New Hope and Return of the Jedi filmed some scenes in California, The Mandalorian & Grogu will be the California kingdom’s first Star Wars film to be shot primarily in the state.

Like its TV show counterpart, the film will also use volume soundstages. Apart from this, the film was able to employ 500 crew members, 54 actors, and 3,500 background players for 92 days during filming over four months.

Following the success of The Mandalorian TV show, there has been speculation about the huge budget of the film’s production, which hints at a possible large-scale filming.
