Amazon Prime Video action crime streaming television series Reacher season 1 is based on Killing Floor, Child’s 1997 debut novel released on February 4, 2022, and season 2 will be based on Bad Luck and Trouble.
The second season is coming up with more screen time for Alan Ritchson. On the official Reacher Instagram account the production confirmed that the filming for Season 2 started in September 2022 has wrapped up in February 2023.
Reacher Season 2 will be released exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Alan Ritchson is returning as the main lead.
Jack Reacher’s book series Bad Luck and Trouble is the eleventh book in the Jack Reacher series written by Lee Child. The book is set in Chicago, a woman learns that an elite team of ex–army investigators are being hunted down one by one, and on the streets of Portland, Jack Reacher is pulled out of his life by a code that few other people could understand.

Reacher Update (2026)
Updated July 2026. The Jack Reacher saga has moved well past Season 2. Reacher Season 4, based on Lee Child’s novel Gone Tomorrow, premieres August 12, 2026 on Prime Video, with Alan Ritchson returning in the title role alongside newcomers including Sydelle Noel and Marc Blucas. A companion spinoff, Neagley, starring Maria Sten, debuts its full first season on September 16, 2026 — the same day as the Reacher Season 4 finale. Prime Video confirmed a fifth season of Reacher is already in the works.
