After the second season’s release, which aired on January 9, 2022, its fans were waiting for season third of the HBO series.
In February 2022 the series was renewed for a third season. The filming for season three appears to be filming sooner than later!
However, the series has lost one of its leading actors, Angus Cloud, who played Fezco in a tragic death due to a drug overdose.
Recently, Sydney Sweeney, the actress in the series, gave an update on the Euphoria Season 3.
During the press for her upcoming film Immaculate, the actress also sheds light on the forthcoming season of Euphoria.
During an interview with MTV Sydney was asked if she’ll be taking a break after going non-stop lately.
“When I go into Euphoria, I always feel like I’m going home. It’s like home when I go back to it. I like it. I’m excited; it’s like family.”

Euphoria Season 3 Update (2026)
Updated August 2026. HBO’s “Euphoria” Season 3 premiered April 12, 2026, running eight weekly episodes and picking up five years after Season 2, with Rue, Jules, Cassie, Nate, and Maddy navigating adult lives away from East Highland High. Returning cast included Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow, joined by newcomers including Sharon Stone and Natasha Lyonne; Storm Reid did not return for the new season. The season also carries a poignant note: Eric Dane, who played Cal Jacobs, completed filming his Season 3 scenes before his death from ALS in February 2026, a disease he had spoken about publicly as an advocate for awareness and research.
