Chase Infiniti has opened up about a special moment she shared with The Veil star Elisabeth Moss while working on The Testaments, the highly awaited sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale. The young actress revealed how Moss supported her during filming and gave her confidence at a key moment in her journey.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Chase Infiniti spoke about meeting Elisabeth Moss near the end of filming for The Testaments. The conversation happened at the National Board of Review Gala in New York City, where Infiniti shared how warm and encouraging Moss was when they finally met. She said Moss greeted her with a big hug and simple but powerful words that stayed with her.
Infiniti explained that Moss told her, “You got this. You got this. Okay? You got it.” The moment meant a lot to the actress, who is stepping into a major role connected to one of television’s most famous characters. According to the interview, Moss made her feel welcomed and confident right away, even though they had not spent much time together earlier during production.
The Testaments is set 15 years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale and is based on the novel by Margaret Atwood. The new series will stream on Hulu and is scheduled to premiere in April. The story follows a new generation growing up inside the strict and dangerous world of Gilead.
Chase Infiniti plays Agnes, formerly known as Hannah, the eldest daughter of Elisabeth Moss’s character June Osborne. In the original series, Agnes was taken away as a child and raised by another family. In the sequel, she is now an adult living in Gilead, struggling with her identity and questioning her past.
Series creator Bruce Miller has shared that the show will not feel exactly the same as The Handmaid’s Tale. He explained in earlier interviews that the sequel brings younger voices, a different tone, and a new perspective, while still staying true to the dark world of Gilead.
Along with Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday and Rowan Blanchard also star in the series. Ann Dowd returns as Aunt Lydia, continuing her role from the original show.
With strong connections to the original story and fresh characters leading the way, The Testaments is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about new series arriving on Hulu this year.
