New court documents have revealed shocking claims about what happened behind the scenes of It Ends With Us, the 2024 romance drama starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The filings say a Sony Pictures executive once referred to Lively as a “f*ing terrorist”** during a tense moment on set while the film was still being shot.
The statement came to light after a previously sealed deposition was unsealed this week. The testimony was given by Andrea Giannetti, an executive vice president of production at Sony Pictures, who also worked as a creative executive on It Ends With Us. According to court records, Giannetti used the phrase during a private conversation with a producer in November 2023.
In her deposition, Giannetti said the comment was linked to a 17-point list of demands that Blake Lively allegedly required to be approved before she would return to filming. She testified that it was widely believed on set that Lively threatened to walk away from the movie if her concerns were not addressed. At that time, Sony had already invested about $28 million, and the film risked becoming unreleasable if production stopped.

The executive also described the filming environment as a “s* show,”** pointing to both production troubles and ongoing conflict between Lively and Baldoni. She claimed Blake Lively repeatedly complained that Baldoni was “unprepared, indecisive, and inexperienced” as a director.
Despite the tension, Giannetti later sent Blake Lively a glowing message after the movie’s strong opening weekend, praising her work and celebrating the film reaching $50 million at the box office.
The revelations are part of Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni and the film’s producers, where she alleges sexual harassment and retaliation. Baldoni has denied all accusations. His $400 million countersuit for extortion and defamation was dismissed last year.
According to PEOPLE, the civil trial, originally set for March 2026, has now been postponed to May 18, 2026, after Judge Lewis J. Liman cited scheduling conflicts. The case will be heard in New York, and both Lively and Baldoni are expected to testify. If settlement talks fail next month, the case will move forward in court.
