The Hardware Store That Stole the Show
One of the most talked-about filming spots is Edison Millwork & Hardware, located at 9 Old Post Rd, Edison, NJ 08817. This is a real, family-owned hardware store that has been running since 1976.
Several key scenes were filmed inside the store, especially ones showing the normal daily life of the main characters. The production team picked this location because of its authentic look and its long history in the community.
Instead of building fake sets, the crew chose to film in real places like this one. That decision gave Big Mistakes a natural and believable feel that viewers can connect with.
A Special Watch Party at the Store
The owners of Edison Millwork & Hardware even hosted a watch party for the show after it launched. Fans came together to enjoy the series — and were served popcorn made from the same machine that appears in the show itself. It was a fun way to bring the community and the show together.
