For your convenience, we did some digging: An Instagram post while filming of the Bob Dylan biopic:-
As per northjersey reports, Behrs Landing owner Jay Cosgrove said that filming had not yet begun and about 50 crew members had arrived. He Said “They’ve been setting up all day.”
The restaurant’s owner explained that the restaurant served as a restaurant during the Newport Folk Festival, and that Dylan had performed in concert at the restaurant with other artists during the 1963 festival.
Cosgrove says that Dylan also played at the Newport Folk Festival held near his restaurant in 1964 and 65, and attracted headlines with his musical prowess.
Speaking of Cosgrove, we can now say that the reason the film crew chose this restaurant is because it provides a realistic backdrop for the Dylan biopic.
