Zendaya Was Memorizing Lines for Three Major Projects at Once — and She’s Finally Talking About It

Zendaya had one of the most packed schedules in Hollywood over the past year — and she’s opening up about just how exhausting it really was.

The Golden Globe-winning actress recently revealed to Elle magazine that she was simultaneously juggling production on three massive projects: HBO’s Euphoria Season 3, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Three — often all at the same time.

“I remember being on set for Euphoria; it was a night shoot at a ranch,” Zendaya shared. “I was so tired, but I was also learning my Chakobsa lines for Dune. And then I started writing out my lines to memorize for that quick turnaround trip I was going to make to Iceland for The Odyssey.”

And the pressure didn’t stop there. Zendaya admitted that working with a director of Christopher Nolan’s caliber added an extra layer of nerves. “It’s not like I have a lot of lines in The Odyssey, but I was working with Christopher Nolan! The most embarrassing thing in life would be messing up my lines — which did happen once,” she confessed.

Despite the chaos, Zendaya has powered through an extraordinary year of releases. A24’s The Drama hit theaters last month, and she is currently airing in Euphoria Season 3 every Sunday at 9 PM ET on HBO and Max, reprising her celebrated role as Rue Bennett.

The releases don’t stop there. On July 17, she appears as Athena in The Odyssey, followed just two weeks later by Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31, where she returns as MJ alongside Tom Holland. And to close out the year, Dune: Part Three arrives on December 18, with Zendaya back as Chani.

With four films and a hit series all landing within the same calendar year, Zendaya has already hinted she’ll be stepping back from the spotlight soon. Back in March, she said she plans on “disappearing for a little bit” once the wave of releases settles — and honestly, she’s more than earned it.
