KwaZulu-Natal is a shore of the South African region well-known for its beautiful beaches and mountains. The opening battle scene at the Mahi village in the series was filmed in KwaZulu-Natal.

The cast and crew filmed in and around this location in Africa to make it authentic and also captured sunrises and sunsets in the location. The Bonamazi Game Reserve was also used for filming specific wildlife. The southern resort town of Port Edward in KwaZulu-Natal was also featured in the series.
Cape Town, South Africa

Port city “Cape Town” was the selected location for The Woman King filming. The brilliance of King Ghezo’s palace was shot on the boundaries of Cape Town, South Africa. The Wiesenhof Nature Reserve was also featured in the film where the Agojie finally fought the Oyo. The cast and crew also filmed in and around the city captured many scenes and filmed in many places.
In addition to the filming locations mentioned above, this film has also been shot in two countries of West Africa, namely Benin, and Ghana.
