It is based on the novels of Jack Carr, and this season adapts his second book, True Believer. David DiGilio is the showrunner and writer. Prime Video’s release note names former Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza among the directors, but we could not confirm which episodes he directed.

The main cast includes Chris Pratt, Constance Wu, Tom Hopper, Dar Salim, Luke Hemsworth and Gabriel Luna, with Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Arnold Vosloo and Shiraz Tzarfati also listed. According to reports, it was filmed in Morocco, Toronto and South Africa. The trailer also shows Brussels and London.

The story follows Navy SEAL Commander James Reece after he finishes his kill list. This time the U.S. government pulls him back in after a string of terrorist attacks, and he ends up chasing a conspiracy that reaches from Moscow to Langley. The season has eight episodes.

All eight episodes were released together on October 21, 2026, and you can stream them on Prime Video. Season 1 and the prequel Dark Wolf are on the same service. If you enjoy finding the real places behind TV shows, our series guides cover many more.

Filming for season 2 reportedly started in South Africa in March 2025. The Toronto unit is listed from May to August 2025 by Hollywood North Buzz, which also mentions some shooting in Washington, DC.

In Morocco, the news site Le360 said on September 3, 2025 that shooting began in Marrakech in July, then moved to Casablanca and Tangier until the end of that month. Reports say the whole season wrapped in October 2025. No official schedule has been shared, so please treat every date here as a report. We could not confirm who handled the cinematography, and we will add it as soon as it is credited.

📍Toronto, Ontario

Toronto is the only Canadian city named for season 2. The same Hollywood North Buzz report says the unit shoot ran there through the spring and summer of 2025, and that Gabriel Luna was working in the city as the new CIA officer Freddy Strain.

We could not confirm which Toronto streets, buildings or studios were used, so we are not naming any. Toronto often stands in for other places, so please do not assume that a scene set in the U.S. was shot on a real American street. Another series shot in this city is The Body, and the rest of the city’s productions are on our Toronto page.

Visiting: Since no exact venue is confirmed, it is best not to assume that any public place in Toronto was used.

📍Morocco

Marrakech was the first Moroccan stop, with shooting reported from July 2025. An unnamed source told The Location Guide that the Moroccan cities would double for Syria, Eastern Europe and Greece.

After Marrakech, the crew moved to Casablanca, as the same Moroccan report puts it. Tangier came last in Morocco, with shooting reported to continue there until the end of September 2025.

📍Hoedspruit, Limpopo, South Africa

Hastings Hunting Reserve is a made-up place in the story. The Cinemaholic says it looks modelled on the Niassa National Reserve in Mozambique, which is also a setting in Jack Carr’s novel, but the series was not shot in Mozambique. The crew based themselves in South Africa instead, and reports name the bushveld around Hoedspruit in Limpopo as a main shooting area.

A report from Network News in April 2025 says film crews working with Chris Pratt on the new season were staying in Hoedspruit, and that the exact spot was being kept quiet while filming was underway. We could not confirm the name of the reserve or farm that was used, so please do not treat any lodge name you see online as confirmed. The Cinemaholic also thinks CGI was likely added to some animal scenes, but that is its own view and not a studio statement.

Visiting: Since no exact place is named, please check before you go.

📍Cape Town, South Africa

The Cinemaholic reports that Cape Town was another major base for the shoot, along with the Hoedspruit bushveld. We could not find a report that names a street, building or studio, so we are not guessing any. Another Prime Video thriller shot in this city is G20, and more productions are on our South Africa page.

Visiting: Since no exact place is named, please check before you go.

📍Washington, D.C., United States

The Toronto listing also says there was some on-location shooting in Washington, DC. We could not find a report that names a landmark, street or scene, so please treat this as reported only. It is best not to assume that any famous building in the city appears on screen.

Visiting: Since no exact place is named, please check before you go.

📍Brussels Stock Exchange, Brussels, Belgium

The Brussels Stock Exchange, known as La Bourse in French and Beurs in Dutch, stands in the heart of Brussels, Belgium. It appears in the trailer in a drone shot, and the streets of Brussels can also be seen clearly in the same trailer, so we are listing it as reported from the trailer.

We could not find a production report or an official note that confirms Brussels as a shoot location, and we do not know which scenes were filmed there. We will update this section as soon as it is confirmed. Other titles shot in the country are on our Belgium page.

Visiting: The Bourse can be seen from the street in central Brussels. Since it is not confirmed as a filming spot, please check before you go.

📍Tower Bridge, London, England

Tower Bridge spans the River Thames in London, England. The bridge is shown in the trailer, so this one is also reported from the trailer. We could not confirm which scene it belongs to, or whether the crew filmed there or only used the bridge as an establishing shot. Another Prime Video spy thriller shot in this city is Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War, and more productions are on our London page.

Visiting: Tower Bridge can be seen from the riverside and walked across. Since it is not confirmed as a filming spot, please check before you go.

The Terminal List Season 2 Behind the Scenes

To make your search for The Terminal List Season 2 filming even more interesting, here is a small fun fact. The production used the working title KESTREL while it was shooting, according to the Toronto listing.

We will add more cast and crew Instagram posts and set photos here as soon as they are shared.

Is There Any Trailer Available for The Terminal List Season 2?

Yes. Prime Video released the full trailer on September 17, 2026, as reported by Dark Horizons. It came about five weeks before the season arrived, and it points to a bigger, globe-trotting spy story after the revenge thriller of season 1. You can watch it on Prime Video’s official channels.
