Sinners Cast Built a Strong Bond While Filming the Bloody Vampire Movie

The cast of the hit vampire horror film Sinners didn’t just face blood and chaos on screen — they also formed a close friendship behind the scenes. While attending the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, Alice Darling star Wunmi Mosaku shared how the cast stayed connected and happy during long filming days.

Speaking in an interview on the red carpet with NYPost, Mosaku explained that the cast spent their free time doing simple and fun activities together. They held game nights, shared dinners, and often relaxed in each other’s trailers. According to her, games like Uno and Spades became a regular part of their routine, helping everyone unwind after intense scenes.

Mosaku said that much of the movie was filmed on a large juke joint set, which felt like a theater space. Because of this, the cast spent many hours together every day. Sometimes, they would even warm up by dancing, especially on Fridays, which helped keep the mood light despite the dark nature of the film.

Sinners is written and directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Michael B. Jordan in dual roles as twin brothers Smoke and Stack. Set in 1930s Mississippi, the movie follows the twins as they open a lively juke joint that soon becomes the target of vampires. Mosaku plays Annie, Smoke’s estranged wife, while Hailee Steinfeld appears as Stack’s love interest, Mary. The cast also includes Delroy Lindo and rising star Miles Caton.

The strong bond among the cast showed during awards season. Sinners won the Golden Globe for Box Office Achievement after earning over $300 million worldwide, a big success for a movie that was not based on an existing franchise. Miles Caton also won Best Young Actor at the Critics Choice Awards earlier this month.

Mosaku revealed that the set felt family-oriented, with many cast and crew members bringing their families to work. Even Coogler’s wife, Zinzi Coogler, who also produced the film, spoke about the sense of community they built while making the movie.

Despite missing out on some major awards, Sinners continues to receive praise and is expected to earn multiple Oscar nominations, which will be announced on January 22.

From game nights to dance breaks, the cast of Sinners proved that strong teamwork and friendship can make even the bloodiest film sets feel like home.
