We can also see Ben Barnes as General Aleksander Kirigan saying ” Are you willing to sacrifice that which is most precious to you” along with these two the shadowy Six of Crows characters and most of the cast from the first season.

Update: Netflix Cancelled ‘Shadow and Bone’ After Season 2

Updated July 2026. Despite the anticipation captured in this trailer breakdown, Netflix cancelled Shadow and Bone in November 2023, shortly after Season 2 premiered, and also scrapped a planned Six of Crows spinoff. Netflix pointed to the series’ high production cost relative to its viewership, compounded by the impact the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes had on the industry’s content strategy. A fan-led petition to save the show gathered more than 120,000 signatures, becoming one of the most-signed renewal petitions on Change.org that year, but no other network or streamer picked it up, leaving the story unfinished on screen.
