The makers chose two locations in British Columbia for the Snowy Glides scenes. The two used; locations were Rainbow Mountain and the Pemberton Ice Cap.
The makers had to face a lot of problems to shoot the scenes. They sent the necessary items and equipment for filming through helicopter.

Updated August 2026. Resident Alien has since come to an end — USA Network and Syfy canceled the Alan Tudyk comedy after its fourth season, with the August 8, 2025 episode serving as the show’s series finale. The series moved from Syfy to USA Network for its later seasons, simulcasting its final run across both networks. Showrunner Chris Sheridan said he suspected going into season four that it would likely be the show’s last, which let the writers spend the season deliberately wrapping up storylines instead of leaving them open-ended. After nearly clinching cancellation following season three before a budget-adjusted renewal, Resident Alien’s four-season run closed out on its own terms rather than an abrupt cutoff.
