It has been declared that parts 1 and 2 are filmed back-to-back, THR reported that the plan of filming back-to-back was until March 2022 and Now we have official assurance that the filming for both installments has been wrapped up.
In an interview with executive producer, Eric Newman, he was questioned regarding his forthcoming projects, like American Primeval and Zero Day.
Newman was having a discussion that the previous show has been delayed due to the ongoing SAG AFRA strikes in Hollywood, but he turned to Rebel Moon, saying that “we were completely done with that one.”
The executive editor Lacey Rose was asked At THR if both installments had been filmed, to which Newman replied, “Yeah.”
He added, “I love working with Zack, and the movies are great, and I think people are going to really love them.”
Rebel Moon, which is also known as Rebel Moon Part 1 is an upcoming 2023 American Action Adventure Drama film that is coming under the direction of Zack Snyder.
Part 1 of Rebel Moon (just labeled Rebel Moon by Netflix for now) isset to release on Netflix on December 22nd, 2023.
The theatrical release date still not confirmed for the film. Still, given the many quotes on websites like the Dolby Cinema site and the fact that the film is eyeing awards season, it seems more likely.
