Peaky Blinders to Start Filming, Replacing Seventh Season

Peaky Blinders is coming with its latest film for which they will start shooting in the month of September.

After much consideration, the makers have decided to shoot the film in the West Midlands which will be the new location for filming.

Cillian Murphy is coming back in the lead role of Tommy Shelby in the film, which is confirmed by show’s creator, Steven Knight while having a conversation with Birmingham World.

“He definitely is returning for it.” Steven stated.

In the same place the creator also talked about the filming schedue, revealing that the filming will commence in september.

The location chosen for filming is West Midlands. Steven confirmed it by saying, “We’re shooting it in September just down the road in Digbeth.”

Cillian Murphy revealed in 2022 that “I think Steve has always had an endgame in mind. Covid screwed that up a bit. But now he’s got lots of plans to make a film.”

“So I don’t think this is the end of the story. I think it’s probably just the end of the story in this form.”

“But Steve is always bringing up ideas, and they’re always good. So I’ll just wait and see what he has to say.”

The actor also talked about Murphy’s performance in Oppenheimer by saying, “I mean he’s brilliant, and he’s such a great human being and he leads the line when we’re shooting and he’s so levelheaded and straightforward. He deserves everything he gets,” Knight said.
