Night Court Star John Larroquette Says: Filming On The Show’s Original Set Is Bittersweet

Night Court is a Comedy Series that was broadcast by NBC from 1984 to 1992, It has a total of 9 seasons and 193 episodes.

The series is being revived in the American sitcom Night Court in 2023. It stars Melissa Rauch, India de Beaufort, Kapil Talwalkar, Lacretta, John Larroquette, and Nyambi Nyambi.

Night Court’s John Larroquette Admits “I See Ghosts” On The Show’s Filming

Actor John Larroquette, who played Dan Fielding in the Night Court series, admitted recently that filming on the show’s original set was Bittersweet.

The 76-year-old actor, who starred in the hit 80s series Night Court, reflected on missing his co-stars during filming of its revival.

As you may have also noticed, the set of Night Court is very familiar to American Actor John Larroquette. Larroquette also plays Dan Fielding in the revival series.

Night Court Revival Filming Update

As per People.com Reports, During this winter’s Television Critics Association convention, on the set of Warner Bros Larroquette said:-

“There’s elation because there’s this new crop of people, and then there’s the sadness of remembering all those people that are no longer here,”

Larroquette said he could make filming this revival emotional, He further added:-

“Because of the timing, Charlie Robinson died while we were doing the pilot. Markie died not that long after. Richard Moll died, what, three or four months ago now,”

“Harry [Anderson] died in 2017 or ‘18, so that was a little more removed. But as I said, it’s like I see ghosts.”

In the revival, Larroquette made an effort to include some of the original players, including those who were behind the scenes.

He also stated:-

“I actually asked, ‘If you need a script supervisor, I know a good one,’”

The stars built a strong bond during their 8-year-long career, and at the same time, he and his wife, Elizabeth, welcomed their youngest son, Benjamin.

He continued:-

“We were all good friends. We spent time with each other and also because we were young, we were successful, everybody had babies,”

“We were just this family together, all of us. And we spent time off stage together a lot. So it was that — it was a family.”

43 years Melissa added further:-

“are from the original [set]. So every time I sit on them or walk into the courtroom — which was an exact recreation from the plans of the original — I get a little nostalgic heart zing.”
