Filming the hit Apple TV+ comedy-drama Shrinking has created some unforgettable moments on set. One of those moments came when actor Neil Flynn found himself acting alongside two of Hollywood’s biggest legends — Harrison Ford and Michael J. Fox. Flynn recently shared that the experience felt “very strange,” but also incredibly exciting.
In February 2026, Flynn spoke about the experience during an interview with PEOPLE magazine. He explained that most of his scenes in Season 3 of Shrinking are with Harrison Ford, who plays therapist Dr. Paul Rhoades in the show. Flynn plays Raymond, a character who receives therapy from Paul.
While talking about filming, Flynn revealed that one particular scene stood out. It was a moment when both Ford and Fox were acting together in the same room.
“All my scenes so far have been with Harrison, which is just great. Recently, we did one with Harrison and Michael J. Fox where the two of them were in the room, and it was very strange to be in that situation. But this late in the game, it’s all a thrill,” Flynn said during the interview with PEOPLE.
For Flynn, sharing a scene with two famous actors who have shaped Hollywood for decades felt surreal.
The excitement around Michael J. Fox’s appearance in Shrinking Season 3 has also been shared by the rest of the cast. Fox joined the show as a character named Gerry, who forms a special connection with Dr. Paul Rhoades because both characters are living with Parkinson’s disease.
Other cast members have also spoken about what it was like watching the two legendary actors work together on set.
During a January 2026 interview with Entertainment Tonight, actress Jessica Williams, who plays Dr. Gaby Evans, said the moment was unforgettable.
Williams shared that she actually stayed on set after finishing her work just to watch Ford and Fox film their scene together.
She said seeing them act side by side gave her “chills.” For her, it felt like watching two icons create something special.
Actress Christa Miller, who plays Liz Bishop, also talked about how much Harrison Ford enjoyed working with Michael J. Fox. According to Miller, Ford even said he learned a lot from Fox’s perfect comedic timing while filming their scenes.
The admiration goes both ways. Jason Segel, who plays therapist Jimmy Laird and also co-created Shrinking, said he has always looked up to Michael J. Fox.
Segel explained that when he was younger and working long hours, he and other actors often used Fox as inspiration. Fox famously worked on both Back to the Future movies and the TV show Family Ties during the 1980s.
Segel said he finally had the chance to tell Fox how much he admired him, calling the moment very meaningful.
He also shared that working closely with Harrison Ford has been a special experience. According to Segel, the legendary actor has even given him valuable advice while filming the series.
With Season 3 of Shrinking bringing together stars like Harrison Ford, Michael J. Fox, Jason Segel, and Neil Flynn, the show continues to create memorable moments both on screen and behind the scenes. For the cast, sharing the set with such legendary performers has become one of the most exciting parts of filming the series.
