YouTube star MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is known for doing things bigger than anyone else. Now, for Season 2 of his Prime Video show Beast Games, MrBeast has taken things to a whole new level by building a $16 million sound stage just for the show.
Beast Games Season 2 returned to Prime Video on January 7, with the first three episodes released together. The remaining episodes will air weekly until the finale on February 25. This season is extra intense, with 100 super-strong players facing off against 100 super-smart players in tough physical and mental challenges. The winner will take home a massive $5 million prize.
According to reports from KLAS-TV, production for Season 2 spent about $16 million in Nevada. Most of the filming took place in Las Vegas, which also hosted parts of Season 1. However, instead of using a stadium this time, the team built something completely new.
In May 2025, construction began on a temporary sound stage near the South Point Hotel Casino. This special set was called Beast City. It was designed only for the show and included amazing features like a library, a 24-hour Starbucks, and unlimited Feastables snacks, which are MrBeast’s popular chocolate products.
The sound stage was built on an empty lot about 15 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Filming wrapped up by the end of June 2025, and the entire set was later removed. While fans cannot visit the real filming location anymore, they can still stay nearby. The South Point Hotel is only a short walk away and offers rooms at different prices depending on the time of year.
Even though the set is gone, Las Vegas still has plenty to offer. Visitors can explore the Strip, watch shows, shop, or enjoy famous buffets. This makes it easy for fans to feel close to where Beast Games was filmed.
With its giant custom-built set, huge budget, and life-changing prize money, Beast Games Season 2 proves once again that MrBeast doesn’t just make content — he creates entire worlds.
