Filming big superhero movies can be exciting — but sometimes, it can also lead to unexpected moments. Actor Alan Cumming recently shared a funny behind-the-scenes story from the set of Avengers: Doomsday, and it quickly caught fans’ attention.
Alan Cumming, who is returning as the X-Men superhero Nightcrawler, revealed that he accidentally hurt co-star Pedro Pascal during filming. Alan Cumming talked about the moment during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he joked that he had “broken” Pascal.
Alan Cumming explained that it happened during their first scene together. According to him, there was no fight or stunt gone wrong. He said Pedro somehow hurt his neck and had to leave the set early. Cumming laughed while telling the story and made it clear it was not intentional. He even joked that he was not doing anything special — he was “just being.”
Later, Cumming shared that Pascal received special treatment to help him recover. Pedro showed him marks from a cupping massage, a therapy used by athletes and actors to relax muscles and reduce pain. Thankfully, the injury was not serious, and Pascal recovered.
Avengers: Doomsday is creating a lot of excitement because it brings back famous X-Men characters. One of the biggest surprises is the return of James Marsden as Cyclops.
