Lisa Kudrow is back as Valerie Cherish in The Comeback Season 3, but this time, filming brought back strong memories from her past. Lisa Kudrow recently shared that shooting the new season felt “strange” and “emotional”, especially because of the location.
After more than 10 years, the show has returned for what is expected to be its final season. Fans are excited to see Valerie again, but for Lisa, this journey was deeply personal.
The biggest reason is where the filming took place. Parts of The Comeback Season 3 were shot at Warner Bros. Stage 24. This is the same stage where Lisa filmed her iconic role as Phoebe Buffay in the hit show Friends.
Speaking about this during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Lisa explained how special the moment was. She said that finishing Friends was one of the most important parts of her life, and now ending The Comeback at the same place made everything feel complete.
She shared that it made her feel very emotional, as both shows hold a huge place in her heart.
In another interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Lisa again opened up about the experience. She described it as “really strange and kind of emotional”, explaining that it felt like closing two important chapters of her life in the same location.
According to a report from Yahoo, Lisa even joked in another conversation that she struggled to find the right word to describe the feeling.
In the new season, Valerie returns to television in a fresh way. Her character is chosen to star in a new sitcom called How’s That?, but there is a twist. She must keep it secret that the show is created using AI technology.
The season also brings back familiar faces like Laura Silverman and Damian Young, while introducing new actors such as Andrew Scott, Jack O’Brien, and Ella Stiller.
However, this season also marks a sad moment. Fan-favorite actor Robert Michael Morris, who played Mickey Deane, is not part of the show after his passing in 2017.
The Comeback Season 3 has now started streaming in the UK on Sky and Now, with new episodes releasing every Monday.
For Lisa Kudrow, this final season is not just another project — it is a full-circle moment filled with memories, emotions, and a meaningful goodbye.
