As the final season of Stranger Things gets ready to say goodbye, actor Finn Wolfhard is looking back on the small, happy moments that made filming special. For him, some of the strongest memories are not just about scenes or monsters — they are about food.
Finn recently appeared in an interview with New York Times Cooking, where he was joined by his co-star Natalia Dyer. While the two actors made pizza from scratch, they answered fan questions and talked about their years working together on the hit Netflix show.
When asked which foods remind him most of filming Stranger Things, Finn did not hesitate. He said doughnuts and chicken wings were everywhere on set and became a big part of his memories. Natalia also joined in, remembering the chocolate chip cookies that the catering team often brought for the cast and crew.
Finn explained that when filming starts, people try to eat healthy. But after many months on set, things change. He joked that by the middle of the shoot, snacks and sweet treats take over. These little moments helped the cast feel comfortable and happy during long filming days.
Finn also shared a funny story from when he was just 13 years old. At the time, he had decided to give up sugar for Lent. One day on set, he told a crew member about his promise. But only a short while later, he completely forgot and started eating sour candy. His co-star Caleb McLaughlin had to remind him that he had given up sugar. Finn laughed while remembering how easy it was to forget when surrounded by snacks.
The interview came just days before the fifth and final season of Stranger Things premiered on Netflix. The show’s executive producer and director, Shawn Levy, has also spoken about the ending in a separate interview with People. He promised fans that the finale would be emotional, surprising, and deeply satisfying.
For Finn and Natalia, making pizza and talking about food was a simple way to remember how far they have come. After nearly a decade of filming, these snack-filled memories show how close the cast became.
As Stranger Things comes to an end, it is clear that the friendships, laughter, and shared moments behind the scenes will stay with the actors forever — just like the taste of doughnuts and chicken wings.
