Actress Emma Stone Explains Eating ’60 Portuguese Tarts’ during Filming of Poor Things
La La Land star and Oscar-winning actress Emma opens up about her experience while filming Yorgos Lanthimos’ film “Poor Things.”
The actress recalled eating 60 Portuguese tarts during filming, adding that ‘By the End, You Really Want to Puke.’
She refreshed his memories of filming ‘Poor Things’ and opened up about some of the interesting challenges he faced. Emma plays Bella Baxter in Poor Things.
As per people.com reports, Last week on Saturday, Emma took part in a panel at the Nominees Celebration for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, and during the conversation, she described her experience while filming Poor Things. She also faced dietary difficulties.
When Emma was asked about her sexual character in the film, she said:-
“The sexuality of Bella was another part of that, and the way that that was going to be shot and how we were going to do it and our incredible intimacy coordinator and our closed sets and all of that. In some ways, that was the easiest part because that was choreographed,”
“Those were quick. We knew exactly what we were doing.”
Stone Shared that the biggest challenge for her was realistically portraying the emotions and quirks of Bella Baxter’s character, one of which was her eating habits.
Continuing her talk, the actress said:-
“Figuring out how to walk or eat 60 Portuguese tarts, which the first bite is delicious, but by the end you really want to puke,”
“Or her seeing death and decay for the first time, much more challenging than the nudity, which is the only thing people want to seem to ask me about.”
