Disney+ is coming with its new action–adventure series, which is led by the trio of Amanda Brotchie, M.J. Delaney, and Ben Taylor.
Sally Wainwright, Emme Hoy, and Georgia Christou are the writers; Sally wrote the first five episodes of the series, while Emme Hoy wrote Episodes 6 and 8, and Georgia Christou wrote Episode 7.
A movie trailer was released on March 13, 2024, featuring a story about a woman named Nell. She is being hunted by her enemies, particularly Sofia Wilmot, who wants revenge for a murder Nell has been accused of.
Nell has unique abilities that activate when a tiny fairy named Mohammed’s Billy Blind enters her mouth. Her eyes widen, and her arm hair tingles.
Although Nell enjoys having these abilities, she is confused about the fairy and how it relates to her powers. It’s important to note that Nell’s name should not be confused with Nellie’s.
“Why are you here?” Nell asks Billy, who replies, “I can only assume that your life is very important!”
Renegade Nell will be released on March 29, 2024, on Disney+.

Renegade Nell Update (2026)
Updated August 2026. Despite strong reviews — an 87% Tomatometer score and 88% audience approval on Rotten Tomatoes — and director Ben Taylor teasing that Season 2 scripts, including a time jump from the Season 1 finale, were already being written, Disney+ cancelled Renegade Nell in July 2024, just a few months after its March 2024 premiere. The historical adventure series will not be returning for further episodes.
