When and where was Brassic Season 5 Filmed?
The filming for the fifth season started in the last days of September 2022 in Manchester, England, and ended in the starting days of feburary 2023.
One of the cast members Michelle Keegan shared a series of pictures with the cast via Instagram on 3, feburary revealing in a caption that filming has wrapped up for the fifth season.
She captioned, “Wrap on Brassic season 5!!! 🎉Can’t believe how fast these past 6 months have gone, 6 months filled with chaotic mayhem, freezing cold locations and a whole lot of love & dedication.”
“Feel so lucky to be working on such a special show. ✨ Can’t wait for you guys to see what we’ve been upto. Big love as always 🥰👏🏽❤️👨🏽✈️🐦🐊🎢” she continued.
Jonathan Davies serves as the location manager of the series and revealed to ilovemanchester, “It was an ambitious shoot and there were so many different places we filmed. It was very varied and hopefully watching it, that will be evident,”
The location manager also revealed that he was given the script of the story and he also had a meeting with the creator,
“We were given the scripts and a few of us had a meeting with Joe to talk through the feel and look of the show and to talk about which direction to go in.”
“It’s a very collaborative process to build a world that fits with the story and script. People want to feel like they’re being transported into that real world of Brassic” he added.

“Obviously, it was a little easier during lockdown as there were no gigs taking place.” the location manager continued.
Greater Manchester was also used for shooting the scenes, both Bromley Cross and Le Mans Crescent in Bolton were also utilized.
Scenes of the doctor’s surgery were seemingly shot at the Salford University’s Frederick Road Campus.
Leading actress, Michelle Keegan who plays the role of Erin shared a story on her Instagram account while filming in Manchester, where she revealed that the crew and crew had stopped the shooting due to bad weather.
Michelle posted her photo in the story in which she was seen in a red puffer jacket and wrote, “Waiting for the rain to stop in Manchester… never gonna happen.”
Lancashire, England
To capture the scenes of the fictional town named, Hawley the makers used Bacup, a town which is in Lancashire near Chorley.
Union Street which is located at the heart of the town was used to tape scenes and some scenes were also taken from Broadclough Mill and Market Street including the the former police station.
Lancashire was also used to film some of the scenes in Accrington and Tockholes.
The shooting of Vinnie’s shack took place in the woods near Arley Hall in Cheshire, England. Locations manager, Jonathan revealed that the director fell in love with the location,
He stated, “The shack was filmed in some woods above Bolton. The director fell in love with the location before looking at how practical it was going to be to get a crew, kit, and vehicles there,
“but it’s fine because there are always ways of working it when it’s the perfect location,” notes,” he added.
Scenes of Erin’s house were taken from the street of Ashton-under-Lyne and Farmer Jim’s farm and Blademoor Prison was shot at Shrewsbury Prison, Shrewsbury.
