Bono & The Edge Update (2026)
Updated July 2026. The Morgan Neville-directed documentary premiered on Disney+ on March 17, 2023, timed to coincide with U2’s Songs of Surrender album release, and drew largely positive reviews for its warm, unfussy portrait of Bono and The Edge’s decades-long friendship alongside David Letterman. Critics generally praised its travelogue feel and the trio’s chemistry, while noting longtime U2 fans might not learn much new. The special arrived during a broader U2 moment: the band went on to open Sphere in Las Vegas later in 2023 with an acclaimed immersive residency that has continued running shows in the years since, giving the band’s catalog a high-tech second life.
