The American romantic comedy film was released theatrically in the United States on December 22, 2023, by Sony Pictures Releasing and will start streaming on Netflix on April 23.

It seems that Anyone But You will have its sequel as in an interview with GT Sweeney stated, “We’ve been tossing around a bunch of different ideas,” She added,

Will Gluck was the director, and Ilana Wolpert and Will Gluck scripted it. Sydney Sweeney, Glen Powell, Alexandra Shipp, GaTa, Hadley Robinson, Michelle Hurd, Dermot Mulroney, Darren Barnet, and Rachel Griffiths were included in the cast list.
It is focused on two lovers, Bea and Ben. Their fiery attraction cools down after an amazing first date. Their affair continues until they find themselves unexpectedly reunited at a destination wedding in Australia.

The Sydney Sweeney/Glen Powell rom-com, which grossed over $200 million worldwide on a modest budget, is now available across Hulu, fuboTV, YouTube TV and FXNow, plus digital rental on Amazon, Apple TV and Fandango at Home. Its runaway success helped cement Sweeney and Powell as go-to romantic-comedy leads and sparked a wave of studio interest in the genre’s box-office viability. Sweeney has since kept busy on other productions, including filming Netflix’s Gundam adaptation in Australia, while Powell has moved into action and drama roles.
