Recently, Max has been releasing a bundle of trailers. One of these is for the upcoming American action television limited series The Penguin, which was created by Lauren LeFranc.
The series is focused on the characters created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane and is being directed by Craig Zobel.
The main cast includes Myles Humphus, Berto Colon, Alex Anagnostidis, and Emily Meade as Dom Gigante, Castillo, Ray, and Young Francis, respectively.
The teaser was released on 22 Mar 2024 with 1 min 36 seconds showing Colin Farrell and scenes of extreme violence and blasts.
In the teaser, Colin says, “When I was a kid, there was a gangster, real old-school type. Rex Calabrese. He was a big deal. He helped people. He saw you on the street, he’d call out to you,”
He continued by saying, “When I was 14 or something, he has a heart attack and dies, still holding a cigar. In my neighborhood, they throw a parade in his honor.”
“A friggin’ parade. It wasn’t fancy, but it was a gesture, a show of love, of what he meant. Can you imagine to be remembered like that?”
Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Daniel Pipski, Adam Kassan, Lauren LeFranc, Craig Zobel, and Bill Carraro worked as the executive producers.
Max’s action pack series “The Penguin” will be released with its eight episodes in the last quarter of 2024.
