Furiosa or Imperator Furiosa is a fictional character in the Mad Max franchise. Furiosa first appeared in the film Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015 which is the fourth installment in the Mad Max franchise.

Recently, a new trailer has surfaced for the film “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” directed by George Miller, in which Anya Taylor-Joy has shaved her head, and Anya is ready for vengeance in the ‘Fury Road’ prequel, expected to be released in May 2024.

During a recent conversation with Empire magazine, “Queen’s Gambit” star Anya Taylor-Joy revealed that the film’s director asked her to pray for the role of Furiosa, but in the trailer released for the film, the star has claimed a buzzed cut.
Anya’s character mirrors Charlize Theron’s look as Furiosa. Even though Anya Taylor used a wig for filming, she has not been seen growing out her long hair after filming.
Actress told to Empire magazine:-
“But I feel very lucky that, from the second I read the script, I just knew this person. I felt so fiercely protective over Furiosa, and fiercely protective of her interests.”
In an interview with IndieWire, She also said:-
“It’s the dirtiest and the bloodiest I have ever been, which is saying something, genuinely saying something,”
“Any time I get to be dirty or bloody and not perfectly prim and pretty, I’m just having a ball, that’s where I feel most comfortable. So yeah, ‘Furiosa’ was definitely right up my street.”
Apart from Anya Tyler, Alyla Browne and Tom Burke will also be seen acting in Furiosa, while Oscar-winner Miller is directing a script, and Simon Duggan serves as cinematographer.
The upcoming post-apocalyptic action adventure film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is expected to be released on May 24, 2024, by Warner Bros. Pictures and is available to watch on HBO Max.
