‘RUST’ production team is moving to Montana for filming

An upcoming American Western film named Rust is in production and still filming in different locations. The film is written and directed by Joel Souza and stars Alec Baldwin, Travis Fimmel, Brady Noon, Frances Fisher, and Jensen Ackles.

‘RUST’ production team is moving to Montana for filming. They are shifting for the church that looks similar to the one cinematographer Halyna Hutchins shot. Montana will also be used as one of the filming locations it is a western state known for its diverse terrain ranging from the Rocky Mountains to the Great Plains.

A rep for Rust film Productions tells TMZ Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana will also use it as one of the filming locations.

After the firearms shooting incident in October 2021, production was temporarily suspended and the cinematographer of the film Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed which was fired by Baldwin, and the director Souza was also injured during that.

Then the filming was resumed in January 2023 and the filming resume date was then postponed to spring 2023. Rust is set to be released in the United States by The Avenue.
