“Because this is a pretty storied franchise and has a lot of history, and Emilio did such an amazing job all those years playing Gordon Bombay, it was a little intimidating, but at the same time, I was in another world compared to where they were, so they were coming into my world, too.” Duhamel one of the cast of the series previously told TVLine.

Update: Disney+ Never Revived ‘Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’
Updated July 2026. The cancellation announced in February 2023 has held: Disney+ never brought Game Changers back for a third season, ending Evan’s storyline at two seasons despite generally positive reviews. The series was one of two sports dramedies Disney+ cut on the same day, alongside Big Shot, as part of a wider content-cost review under CEO Bob Iger. No revival, spinoff, or streaming rescue has materialized since, and both seasons remain streaming on Disney+, where the original 1990s Mighty Ducks trilogy with Emilio Estevez continues to be the franchise’s most enduring and rewatched legacy for hockey-loving families.
