Blumhouse’s ‘Wolf Man’ Starring Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner Starts Filming

Last updated

Actors Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner will play husband and wife in Wolf Man. Their family is in danger from a scary creature.

This isn’t the first time Christopher and Julia act together! They were actually in a movie together way back in 2011 called “Martha, Marcy, May, Marlene” (it was even Julia’s first movie ever!).

Leigh Whannell is directing the movie, and a team of writers, including him, are working on the script.

Filming for Wolf Man just started, and horror movie giant Jason Blum is helping to make the film.

Even though Ryan Gosling isn’t acting in the movie, he’s one of the important people behind the scenes (along with a few others) who are helping to get the movie made.

Wolf Man is set to release on October 25th.

Wolf Man Update (2026)

Updated August 2026. Leigh Whannell’s “Wolf Man,” starring Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner, opened January 17, 2025, with a modest $10 million debut weekend. The horror reboot ultimately grossed around $35 million worldwide against a $25 million budget — enough to clear its costs but well short of a hit, and a steep drop from expectations after Whannell’s earlier success with “Invisible Man.” Reviews were mixed, with a 52% Rotten Tomatoes score, as critics and audiences were divided on the film’s slower, family-drama-driven take on the werewolf legend.
