American actor and comedian Whoopi Goldberg revealed on Tuesday that while filming Till, she used the weight-loss drug Monzaro after gaining nearly 300 pounds during the filming period.

However, Goldberg did star in and produce. She became one of the celebrities who spoke openly about obesity medications, including Oprah Winfrey’s ABC special, which aired on Monday.

He also started taking the type 2 diabetes drug Monzaro after gaining weight in 2022.

Speaking on a daytime talk show, the 68-year-old said, “I’ll tell you, I weighed about 300 pounds when I made ’till.”

She said, “I had taken all those steroids, I was taking all these things, and one of the things that helped me lose weight is Monzaro. I use it.”

On the film’s release in 2022, Goldberg responded to a reporter’s claim that he wore a fat suit to play the role.

“I just always felt like me, and then I saw me and thought, ‘Oh, that’s a lot of me,'”

She explained. “My weight has gone and come, and gone and up and down. But it’s never been an issue because I don’t listen to what others say about me, so it has never been a problem. It’s a matter of how we treat ourselves.”

Goldberg said this week on The View, “I had taken all those steroids; I was on all this stuff.”

She added, One of the things that helped me drop the weight was the Mounjaro. That’s what I used”.

“I just always felt like me” and added, “And then I saw me, and I thought, ‘Oh! That’s a lot of me!”

“You have to take responsibility for yourself and see what’s going on with your body,” she continued. “You hit a certain age, and everything falls to the ground. You pick it up, put it over the back, and keep it moving.”

“I love to cook, and I found out I love to eat, and I was horrified by the fact I would have to come out on air, so I also took Mounjaro,”

She shared. “I got all these nasty [messages], ‘You’re too skinny. Why did you do this? You’re taking a drug away from diabetics.’ There is shame when you gain weight, and I had never experienced that kind of shame before.”
