Horror and Zombie Apocalypse Television Series The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is Developed by David Zabel.
Since the shooting of many films and series was halted due to the actors’ strike SAG-AFTRA and the strike is currently on hold, the stalled development of films and series due to this has now resumed.
According to some reports, filming of the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon had begun in Europe due to an agreement between AMC and SAG-AFTRA to continue during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.
It has now been officially confirmed that the Horror series The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2 has begun filming despite the actors’ strike. Series creator David Zabel recently confirmed when filming will begin on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2.
When will filming start on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2?
Season 2 was announced and aired at the same time as Season 1. With the strike resolved, it has now come to light that the show is set to film season 2 again in France on October 20.
This could be Daryl Dixon’s interim deal with SAG for fellow AMC series Interview with the Vampire and the upcoming TWD: The Ones Who Live and the deal allows Zabel to continue work on the series.
Following the confirmation of the WGA’s new agreement with AMPTP, Zabel explained in an interview conducted by ComicBook.com:
“We’re prepping. We’re getting ready to shoot. We’ve got a bunch to film, but we’re in pretty good shape.”
Although the series’ storytelling style is inspired by better works like The Last of Us, its development pause has helped make the series more vital and fresh. So now it’s great news that filming on the second season is back in development due to the SAG-AFTRA strike halt.
What could The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2 be like?
The long-running franchise spinoff of the TWD (The Walking Dead) universe has made its mark overseas and is becoming a popular hit among people. Norman Reedus, who plays fan-favorite character Daryl Dixon, is transported to France where the zombie apocalypse has taken a turn for the worse.
The setting of the second season may be different from the first season, in which the corpses may appear even scarier.
Actor Norman Reedus, who played Daryl, remains in the series. Daryl proves himself a hero again. Because this time he takes upon himself the task of protecting a young boy with a very special destiny.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is also based on the comic book series of the same name written by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. It is intended to be the 5th spin-off and 6th television series of The Walking Dead franchise.
