An American series of martial arts action films based on the fighting video game series Mortal Kombat is back.
The first film, Mortal Kombat, was released in 1995, and its sequel, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation in 1997, and then a reboot of the series was released on April 8, 2021, and a sequel is in development.
Mortal Kombat 2 is set to be written by Jeremy Slater and McQuoid returning as director. The filming of Mortal Kombat 2 draws closer as production announces a shooting location.
According to New Line Cinema and Warner Bros, the Mortal Kombat 2 movie has settled on a filming location, with the cast and crew will travel to Queensland, Australia. However, production on Mortal Kombat 2 will start this summer as the filming location selection has bought cameras one step closer to rolling.
The new upcoming movie will feature Tati Gabrielle as Jade along with Kitana and Shoa Kahn. Other details on the cast of the upcoming film still remain under wraps.
