Ty Tennant and Peter Davison joining ‘Good Omens’ Season 2 Cast

Good Omens is a British fantasy comedy series and the series was renewed for a second series in June 2021 along with Sheen and Tennant returning.

Good Omen is a six-episode co-production between Amazon Studios and BBC Studios directed by Douglas Mackinnon. The series season 1 was released on Amazon Prime Video on May 31, 2019. The series’ second season filming began in late 2021 in Scotland.

Fans have seen Tennant Snr. and Davison working together before in the lead role in Doctor Who which was a BBC sci-fi series. The creator and writer of the series Neil Gaiman said about season 2 of the series “In this season we get to have new adventures with old friends, to solve some extremely mysterious mysteries, and we encounter some entirely new humans (living, dead, and otherwise), angels, and demons.”

“We were lucky in the first season to have so many outstanding actors taking part, so I took pleasure in inviting people back, wherever we could, some in the roles they played originally, some in new parts written just for them,” he added.

Good Omens season 2 is set for release in around the summer of 2023 on Prime Video. Here is the trailer for season one of the series.

Good Omens: Season 2 Arrived, Then Season 3 Changed Course

Updated July 2026. The Season 2 additions of Ty Tennant and Peter Davison paid off when Good Omens Season 2 premiered on Prime Video in July 2023. What came next was more complicated: in 2024 and 2025, co-creator Neil Gaiman was accused by multiple women of sexual assault, and he stepped back from active production. Rather than a full Season 3, Prime Video instead produced a single feature-length finale episode — written with Gaiman’s input but produced without him on set — that wraps up the Aziraphale-and-Crowley story in 2026.
