According to vancouverisawesome reports, The Cambie Bridge was closed overnight from 7 pm on 14 March 2024 due to the filming of Disney’s Tron: Ares. To accommodate the film’s production, the film crew filmed on Cambie Bridge from Thursday (March 14) until 6 a.m. Friday.
The production company of the film issued a notice in which it was written that:-
The filming “involves driving with vehicles, motorcycles, vehicle tow rigs, and a simulated vehicle accident.”
Early Friday morning, a motorcycle ridden by the character Ares, in an illuminated red suit, could be seen on the bridge.
On the bridge, early Friday morning on 15 March, a motorcyclist dressed in a red illuminated suit, later identified as Ares, was seen driving his motorcycle.
Leto was seen filming a scene in the Ares suit at the Bentall 5 building in downtown Vancouver. Tron: Ares is expected to be released in 2025 by Disney+.
The first film of the Tron universe was released in 1982, while the sequel, Tron: Legacy, took almost 30 years to reach the silver screen.
