BBC’s upcoming series This Town is directed by Paul Whittington, who has previously directed The Crown. Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, created the series.
The series’ trailer was recently released on BBC’s official YouTube channel.
The series’ leading cast includes Michelle Dockery, known for Downton Abbey; Nicholas Pinnock, known for Top Boy; David Dawson, known for My Policeman; and Eve Austin, known for You.
Other cast members include Ben Rose, Geraldine James, Levi Brown, Freya Parks, and more.
This Town Trailer Breakdown
The trailer opens up with music as we meet Dante (played by Brown), a young man yearning for a breakout.
Enter Jeannie Keefe (Austin), a kindred spirit who shares his passion. Together, they unite on a mission to form a band, recruiting Dante’s cousin Bardon (Rose).
But their dreams clash with the harsh realities of their world. Bardon faces pressure to join the IRA, while Dante’s brother Gregory (Bolger) becomes trapped in a web of military espionage.
Dante himself engages in a close fight with a dangerous underworld. Will their music rise above the chaos or succumb to the pressures around them? Watch the trailer below:
