The film is similar to the 2017 experimental adult animated biographical drama film Loving Vincent because the animation technique featured in the previous film, Loving Vincent, was used over five years of production.
Initially, the film was shot with actors. After this, more than 100 painters in 4 studios in Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, and Serbia painted the picture based on the shots and created the film frame.
