Filming Update: ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ Could Begin Production This May

After the blockbuster success of three seasons of the Disney+ show, Din Djarin, and Grogu are set to make the most awaited film, ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu.’

Fans were in shock when they got to know that this Action, Adventure film would come to the big screen with its own self-titled film ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’.

Ever since this film was announced, its production has also started; considering the pace of production, the filming was supposed to start in June, will start sometime in May.

This news was shared by a YouTube channel, Making Star Wars. The news was shared by saying, “We might have a Star Wars movie filming in the next couple of days.”

“I talked to two different cats, both believe that filming is actually going on in May,” the channel stated, “In May, there will be filming done. I’m not saying it’s May 1, I’m not saying it’s May 31, but it’s somewhere in there that things will be filmed for that specific movie.”

The video also revealed Din Djarin and Brendan Wayne’s previous addresses, in which they stated filming would start in June 2024.

“That was probably the initial start. The ‘if we don’t meet our milestones start date.’ But it sounds like things are going swell is how it sounds. So we might have a Star Wars movie filming in the next couple of days, so to speak,”

As per The Film & Television Industry Alliance’s production, the filming was expected to start June 17 in Los Angeles, but later the plan changed to 17 June to sometime in May.

All three season of the Disney+ series were shot in Los Angeles on the soundstages at Manhattan Beach Studios by using the ILM’s StageCraft technology and the Volume.

Jon Favreau, who serves as the creator of The Mandalorian, is leading the film and is coming under the production of Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Karen Gilchrist, and Kathleen Kennedy.

Showrunner Jon Favreau, Pedro Pascal, and director Dave Filoni clarified things while covering with EW.

“Our guy is a Mandalorian, and we definitely explore the culture of the Mandalorian. Boba Fett is a clone, according to Attack of the Clones,

“And by asking [creator George Lucas], he would say Boba Fett is not Mandalorian, not born on Mandalore,”
