Tom Cruise is well known for performing life-threatening stunts in his movies and claims to be perfectioned when it comes to clean-cut good looks and versatility but Steven Spielberg’s worries for him when it comes to his obsessing with doing stunts in movies.
Tom Cruise appears to be a man who is on a mission to try every dangerous and life-risking stunt and he claims to love it, and people on the set also rarely question anything but while working with Steven Spielberg, he felt grueling anxiety and insomnia.
Tom Cruise worked with Spielberg in the 2002 sci-fi movie Minority Report, and like his every other film Tom wanted to perform stunts but along with it he added extra pressure on the director than he already had.
“Tom did all his own stunts in the movie. I’m not sure there’s anything that Tom didn’t do. I made a deal with him. I said, ‘You have to let me determine what stunts I’ll let you do. You have to take ‘no’ for an answer.” Spielberg said.
I can’t sleep well at night. I’m waking up the next morning knowing you’re putting yourself in jeopardy.’” he added. Tom also appeared in Steven Spielberg’s $603M “War of the Worlds” movie in 2005 after which they both ultimately lead to a major disagreement.
Tom Cruise also tried justifying his obsession with constantly putting his life at risk bounded by a deal, “The stunts help to tell the story. They’re tricky, but a lot of fun.” Tom explained.
