Sonic the Hedgehog 3" Begins Filming Amid SAG-AFTRA Strike, Initial Shots to Exclude Actors

The strikes have brought Hollywood to a standstill, but the strike cannot stop Sonic the Hedgehog 3 from filming. According to recent news from Game Rant, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will begin shooting in September 2023, without the writers and actors who are currently engaged in the Hollywood strike.

This news came as a blow to fans of the film, who were clearly confused and also entertained by the fact that the film would continue as per schedule during these difficult circumstances.

This comes at a time when the release and shooting of several projects have been stalled due to the ongoing industry strikes.

Many people took to social media to react to the news that filming of the title would begin in September.

The film is coming under the direction of Jeff Fowler and the written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller. It stars Idris Elba, James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, and more.

It is produced by Neal H. Moritz with executive producer Tim Miller and the Animation Action Adventure film is set to release on December 20, 2024.
