Shakira was screaming and trying to get up, but her mermaid tail was giving her problems while getting up. She could only sit in the trash and watch the mouse crawling around in horror.

She also captioned the post in Spanish, “Cosas que le pasan hasta a las sirenas 🤷‍♀️” which means “Things that happen even to mermaids.”

Shakira Update (2026)

Updated July 2026. That “Copa Vacía” shoot was an early moment in what became Shakira’s biggest era yet. Her 2024 album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran swept the Latin Grammys and set first-day streaming records, and the tour behind it is now the highest-grossing ever by a Latin artist, more than $421 million and 3.3 million tickets sold across 86 shows since it launched in 2025. Shakira picked the U.S. leg back up in summer 2026, playing smaller venues than the tour’s original stadium run, and dropped a new collaboration, “Algo Tú,” with Colombian singer Beéle.
