Michael Showalter Reteams with Michelle Pfeiffer for Christmas Comedy

Following the debut of the Amazon MGM romantic drama The Idea of ​​You, it received mixed reviews leading up to the closing night of SXSW.

Amazon will return with a few holiday comedies starring Golden Globe and Academy Award nominee Michelle Pfeiffer.

However, the film is directed by Showalter and written and produced by the same person. The entire setup is being prepared for the film, which follows a mystery that will jeopardize the safety of the hero’s family.

Both have worked in many films before, but this time, they have united with talented people, and this new film has its unique character.

Pfeiffer plays the lead role of Claire Cluster, who organizes a special Christmas outing when her family forgets her. By the time they realize their mistake, she has disappeared.

The film is based on the latter story, which Amazon Original Stories originally published. Other productions on the film include Showalter and Jordana Mollick through Semi-Formal Productions and Barry Welsh and Jane Rosenthal of Rebecca Productions.

Actor Pfeiffer was recently seen playing the original Wasp Janet Van Dyne in Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Additionally, she starred alongside Lucas Hedges and Tracy Letts in Azazel Jacobs’ French Exit, receiving a Golden Globe nomination for her work in the Sony Pictures Classics drama.

Published screenplays include The Husbands, a Good Morning America Book Club pick she is currently adapting for Amazon MGM Studios, and Plan B with Kristen Wiig.
