A sad news for Mama June Shannon’s fans as her daughter Anna Cardwell ‘Chickadee’ has been facing serious health issues and diagnosed with cancer.
According to the news, Mama June’s Daughter Anna was Diagnosed With Stage 4 Cancer of the liver, kidney, and lungs in January. Adrenal carcinoma is a rare disease in which cancer cells form the outer layer of the adrenal gland and in this condition having genetic conditions increases the risk of this disease.
The patient’s average age for adrenal cancer is around 46 years but can develop in people of any age, even in children, according to the American Cancer Society.
Anna also underwent chemotherapy in February. According to TMZ, Anna’s family is hopeful that she will pull through with the diagnosis and doctors are also reportedly waiting to see the effects of chemotherapy before coming up to any conclusion.
She is a mom to two daughters Kaitlyn Elizabeth and Kylee Madison who she shares with her ex-husband Michael Cardwell as they separated in 2017 after three years together.
Anna has yet to publicly comment on her diagnosis but Let’s hope good for her and that she may recover.

Updated July 2026. Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell, Mama June Shannon’s eldest daughter, passed away on December 9, 2023, following a ten-month battle with stage four adrenal cancer. She was 29. Cardwell was diagnosed in early 2023 and began chemotherapy that March; she died at home surrounded by family. She is survived by her mother, her sisters Lauryn, Alana, and Jessica, and her two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kylee. She is remembered by fans of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and Mama June: From Not to Hot for her openness about her illness in her final months.
